A California native, Debi was born in the Bay Area and moved to the Sacramento area at a very young age. As a preteen, she developed an interest in photography, a hobby she enjoys to this day and credits with giving her an eye for the finer details. Though Debi graduated college with an AA in Accounting, it was her father who introduced her to the graphic arts when she worked at his commercial printing company in Sacramento during the infancy of desktop publishing and the genesis of Apple Computer. With her hands-on commercial printing education, Debi changed her focus from accounting to graphic design, enrolling in courses that would hone her skills using the latest software. Debi worked as a graphic designer for nearly 30 years for a small local publisher meeting deadlines for two monthly magazines, one of which provided her the opportunity to travel the world as a journalist and photographer. Debi finds herself wearing many hats as she takes on the roles of editor, proofreader and, when needed, computer technician. Debi enjoys an active outdoor life and can often be found cycling or paddle boarding along the beautiful American River. She resides with her loving husband of 23 years and their four cats.
